National Homebrewing Day...

Is tomorrow! Dust off those brewpots, crank up the heat, and invite over a couple friends who've never brewed before. In a month, when they're finally enjoying the fruits of their labor, they'll never have been more thankful.

I won't be brewing Saturday, but you can bet I'm buying ingredients and getting the process started (yest starter and water cooling). Hopefully Steinbart won't be too packed with eager beginners watching demonstrations. This might be a good time to stop back in at Above the Rest.

I think I've been to all of them, now. I usually go to FH Steinbart on SE 12th in Portland. It's the biggest, has the best variety, good prices, and has the freshest ingredients. Plus everyone there has been brewing since the stone age so they know WTF.
I think the place you're talking about is Above the Rest (on SW Pacific Highway). It's a good, friendly shop with some extremely helpful staff. It looks a little crazy from the outside, but then again most brew shops do.
