The OBF Short List

Well, at 14 samples, I don't really know if I can call it a "short" list. Let's call it the 14 beers I hope to get through tomorrow. At 4oz a sample, that's a little under five 12 oz bottles of beer. Tough, but not impossible!

Anyway, here they are (in no particular order):

Goose Island Beer Co - Matilda
Green Flash Brewing Co - Hop Head Red
Iron Horse Brewery - Quilter's Irish Death
New Holland Brewing Co - Dragon's Milk
Old Market Pub & Brewery - "Hopcask" Triple Tripel Organic
Pelican Pub & Brewery - Surfer's Summer Ale
Roots Organic Brewing Co - Calypso Ale
Surly Brewing Co - Coffee Bender
Bell's Brewery - Bell's Porter
BridgePort Brewing Co - Hop Czar
Caldera Brewing Co - Caldera Ginger Ale
Golden Valley Brewery - Cote d'Or
Flying Fish Brewing Co - Love Fish Abbey Dubbel
Collaborator - Resurrection Rye

Of course, if my liver is accommodating, I'll probably finish the festival with a taste of Pliny. It's one of the finest beers made in America, albeit one I've already had the pleasure of sampling.

The guys at portlandbeer.org have a terrific list of everything being showcased at the festival, along with descriptions of each. Check it out.

Great list! What did you get to taste yesterday?
I am quite fond of the Matila, the Hop Nelson and that lovely Cote d'Or. Don't forget the weird and wondreful Rock Bottom Congo Queen.
